Hi friends and families,
Do you like rainy days? It’s not just kids who love listening to the sound of rain hitting a window. Well, at least I’m one of the people who like rainy days. By the way, I hope you don’t get wet because there’s more chance of getting sick when you are wet and cold. Being sick isn’t fun at all.
This week, I would like to share with you the “What if” #2. What if there are 2 platforms for the church: online and offline?
You will know what I’m talking about when you watch the video, but we’re living in an era that allows us to travel most places on earth within 24 hours because of the transportation, and through online, we’re talking about instant connectivity. I will say we have the tools to fulfill the Great Commission. When Jesus commissioned his disciples to go and make disciples of all the nations, it wasn’t physically possible and they didn’t have the tools. But we do! That’s why we must build the church to make disciples of all the nations by using these 2 platforms: online and offline.
What would you use when you have an option to choose between online or offline? This is not a trick question, but I will say we choose both! We must use every tool that is given to us to worship, serve one another, share the gospel with others, fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ, and grow and become more like Jesus Christ. That’s why we will use both online and offline platforms to build the church.
What’s platform? One of the definition from a dictionary is “a raised floor or stage used by public speakers or performers so that they can be seen by their audience.” Everyone and everything that will be placed on the platform, whether online or offline, will be to tell the whole world who God is and what he has done for us, no one else and nothing else. Let us celebrate God together! Let us love one another! Because that’s what the church is all about!
Your brother Karo
